When
27 November 2008 (All day)
Where
Vienna, Austria
Organized by
OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre and OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation
This one-day informal meeting aims to enhance the co-ordination of projects on small arms and light weapons (SALW) and stockpiles of conventional ammunition implemented by various international organizations.
It will involve representatives of the European Commission, NATO and its Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), the South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of SALW and the UNDP.
Participants will exchange information about ongoing and planned activities, and share lessons learnt and best practices on technical, managerial, financial, legal and political aspects of project development and implementation. The meeting will specifically look at areas where intensified co-ordination could provide added value to project activities and preempt duplication of efforts of different donors.
