About

The Vienna Document 1992 broadened the scope of information exchange and verification included in the original document, and introduced new communication and consultation measures. These included points of contact for hazardous incidents of a military nature, a communications network and emergency meetings to clarify unusual military activities.

The participating States also agreed to hold annual implementation assessment meetings to discuss implementation of CSBMsCSBMs
Confidence- and security-building measures.
