About

The OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs will hold a workshop on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, in Vienna on 27-28 January 2011. The workshop will focus on the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1540.

The workshop will bring together policy makers and experts from national capitals as well as experts from international organizations. The workshop will facilitate the exchange of views and sharing experience and information, as appropriate, on participating States’ efforts in support of UNSCR 1540. It also will also look at the role of the OSCE in facilitation of UNSCR 1540 and address the risks and threats of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery.
