Concluding Meeting of the 20th Economic and Environmental Forum

The Economic and Environmental Forum is the main annual event within the economic and environmental dimension of the OSCE. In 2012, under the Irish OSCE Chairmanship, the 20^th Economic and Environmental Forum will focus on "Promoting Security and Stability through Good Governance".

 The Concluding Meeting of the 20th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum is scheduled in Prague on 12-14 September 2012 and will build on the results of its two preparatory meetings. The First Preparatory Meeting took place in Vienna, on 6-7 February on the theme of  "Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism" . The Second Preparatory Meeting was held in Dublin on 23-24 April, on the theme of "Promoting Good Governance and Combating Corruption in support of Socio-Economic Development".

The Concluding Meeting will examine the level of implementation of OSCE commitments in preventing and countering corruption. The discussions will aim at renewing and deepening OSCE's political engagement in this area. Representatives of national and international institutions, NGOs, academia and the business community will join these efforts to reinforce the role of the OSCE in the promotion of good governance, and its support for the fulfillment of the commitments undertaken by the 56 OSCE participating States.
