The ministerial-level conference "Investment and Competitiveness in Central Asia" takes place in conjunction with the third Conference on Economy in Central Asia being organized by the German Government.
Representatives from Central Asia, Afghanistan and Mongolia are invited.
The OSCE-OECD conference is a step towards launching the Investment and Competitiveness Initiative for Central Asia, planned to be endorsed at a high political level and implemented over the next years. It's purpose was to discuss
- regional investment,
- competitiveness challenges, and
- policy priorities.
The participants are expected to adopt a concluding statement to serve as the basis for the planned Initiative.
