The regional scientific and practical workshop will bring together representatives of water management structures of the five Central Asian states - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
It aims to provide a forum for discussing environmental and water management co-operation in the context of strengthening regional security and stability in Central Asia. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange best practices in increasing the effectiveness of water management, including practices in transboundary water resource management and legal frameworks for transboundary water courses.
International experts will participate and contribute to a set of planned recommendations.
