International Road Transport Union (IRU) associations from across the CIS region and beyond were represented.

Participants discussed  issues related to border-crossing facilitation, while taking into account security aspects, customs best practices and the promotion of integrated border management measures. In this respect, and following a number of OSCE-UNECE capacity-building seminars on the UNECE's International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Controls of Goods, a dialogue on the forthcoming Annex 8 of the convention was held.
