The two-day Seminar on the Environmental Impact of Conflicts and Rehabilitation Measures focused on direct, indirect and long-term environmental effects of conflict using examples from the Balkans, the Caucasus, Moldova and the Mediterranean.
Participants addressed issues such as public health, refugees, waste processing and water and air pollution. They also focused on linking environmental questions to humanitarian issues such as health, biodiversity and disposal of munitions.
