VIENNA, 7 October 2003 - The OSCE Secretariat in Vienna is requesting professional TV production companies to submit proposals for a video film, promoting the work of the Organization.
In 2004, the OSCE plans to finalize a 30-minute promotional film with English narration and background music to mark the 10th Anniversary of the creation of the OSCE. The aim of the film is to promote interest among the general public in order to enhance understanding of the OSCE and generate support for its activities.
We want you to show in words and pictures how the OSCE's activities affect the lives of individuals by spreading and upholding the ideas of democracy, human rights and fundamental freedoms including the right to live under the rule of law throughout the OSCE region. You will help to tell the story of 10 years of the OSCE, embracing the diplomatic work taking place in Vienna, as well as the practical work carried out in some of the 18 field operations and 4 institutions.
For organizational reasons the work on this film will be split into two phases, subject to two separate contracts, to be carried out in 2003 and 2004 respectively. The deadline for submission of bids for the initial contract is Friday, 24 October 2003.
More information on the tender and the whole project can be obtained at the OSCE website: //www.osce.org/tenders
