OSCE Chairperson extends condolences to the Belarusian people

VILNIUS, 11 April 2011 - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis, expressed his condolences to the Belarusian people today after a blast in the metro in Minsk reportedly injured and killed several passengers.
"I extend our sincere condolences to the Belarusian people after today's explosion. Our sympathies are especially extended to the families of the deceased and injured," he said.
Several people were reportedly injured or killed by an explosion in the metro, in the city centre of Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
