OSCE Chairman-in-Office to visit Belgrade

LJUBLJANA, 4 February 2005 - The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, will visit Belgrade on 7 February.
Minister Rupel will meet the President of Serbia Boris Tadic and Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica.
The Slovenian Chairmanship has included regional issues as one of the OSCE's priorities for 2005. The main focus will be on consolidating progress in the refugee return, protection of national minorities and capacity-building. The Chairmanship sees this year as very demanding in this regard, with expectations concerning Kosovo, relations between Serbia and Montenegro and the situation in Macedonia.
Media representatives are invited to a press conference with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office at 15.45 on Monday, 7 February, in the Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Andricev venac 1.
