BERLIN, 14 April 2016 – Gernot Erler, Special Representative of the German Government for the OSCE Chairmanship, said today regarding Nadiya Savchenko, the Ukrainian pilot imprisoned in the Russian Federation: “I follow the reports on the state of health of Nadiya Savchenko with deep concern. I hope that her release will swiftly be made possible on humanitarian grounds. A speedy solution would also contribute to confidence building in the region.”
