Switzerland to outline 2026 OSCE Chairpersonship priorities to OSCE Permanent Council

On 18 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, will outline the priorities of the incoming Swiss Chairpersonship for 2026 to the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna.

This address marks an important moment in Switzerland's preparations for leading the Organization in 2026, shaping the agenda and direction of the OSCE’s work in areas such as security, conflict prevention, human rights, and more.

The event will be livestreamed on www.osce.org/live and promoted across OSCE social media platforms.

Switzerland will take over the OSCE Chairpersonship from Finland on 1 January 2026 with Cassis serving as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
