Finland’s 2025 OSCE Chairpersonship Forum “Building a Resilient Future in a Changing Climate” will take place at Czernin Palace, Loretánské nám. 5, 118 00 Prague, on 11-12 September 2025 and will focus on the following topics:
- advancing the OSCE’s role in addressing climate and security challenges through its comprehensive security approach
- taking stock of the climate and environmental impacts of Russia’s war against Ukraine and exploring the role of the OSCE in building options for remediation
- leveraging multi-stakeholder cooperation and public private partnerships (PPPs) in scaling climate action and climate resilient investments
- highlighting the role of climate data and innovation in informing decision-making and combating misinformation
- fostering inclusivity for climate resilience and sustainable security
Under the theme “Building a Resilient Future in a Changing Climate”, the Chairpersonship Forum will focus on ways for participating States to strengthen their resilience and responses to security challenges stemming from climate change. The programme will feature a high-level opening session, five thematic sessions, and a closing session.
The Chairpersonship Forum will bring together officials from the OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation, the OSCE Secretariat, institutions, field operations, and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, alongside representatives from civil society, the private sector, academia, and other international organizations.
