About
Considering the magnitude and impact of such destabilizing phenomena, even further magnified by the coronavirus pandemic, the OSCE is committed to fostering transnational co-operation and capacity-building initiatives within its region, jointly with Partners and other states.
This conference will provide an opportunity to illustrate past and ongoing activities as well as outcomes and best practices in different OSCE participating States. It will also offer an overview of current partnerships and different approaches undertaken by other international organizations, think tanks and the private sector. Mediterranean Partners will also present the latest developments and current challenges in the fight against organized crime and cyber-enabled crimes.
Participants will be representatives from relevant government institutions (such as the Ministries of Justice, Interior and Finance, the judiciary, among others) at a senior level. Senior experts from academia and civil society as well as from the United Nations and other relevant international and regional organizations will also be invited to participate and to share their expertise, perspectives and ideas.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis and taking into account travel limitations, the conference in a “blended” format, meaning that it will be a combination of online and physical participation. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in all six OSCE languages.
