About

It will bring together representatives of the Azerbaijani NPM, state authorities, civil society and international organizations with a view to discussing ways and means of strengthening the legislative framework, internal structure and capacities of the NPM, as well as relations with international organizations and civil society involved in preventive detention monitoring.

Presentations will be given by representatives of the UN Sub-committee for the Prevention of Torture, the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture, the Association for the Prevention of Torture and experts from the Human Rights Implementation Centre at Bristol University.
