About

Workshops will make use of practical exercises and examples from journalistic writing, including on fact-checking and the use of sources, to reflect on these issues with the active involvement of participants. Additionally, the course will deal with types of information provided under the law, such as statistics, census information, financial information, budgets, environmental studies and other governmental information. The anticipated outcome of this session is that journalists will be better equipped to draw conclusions from the information provided, portray this information accurately, and write competent and responsible articles based on research.
