The OSCE Office in Baku is hosting conference analysing and discussing domestic violence issues in Azerbaijan and a draft law on the prevention of domestic violence, currently pending before Parliament.
The OSCE Office in Baku is hosting a day-long conference analysing and discussing domestic violence issues in Azerbaijan and a draft law on the prevention of domestic violence, currently pending before Parliament.
Speeches and presentations examining various aspects of the issue will be delivered by Members of Parliament, as well as representatives of the Government, civil society and international organizations.
The OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will provide expert opinion on the draft law, to be presented by the Chief of ODIHR's Legislative Unit, Marta Achler.
There will be opportunities for discussion among the participants throughout the day.
