The OSCE Permanent Council agreed to establish an Office in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to promote the implementation of OSCE principles and commitments as well as to enhance co-operation by the Republic of Azerbaijan within the OSCE framework.
The Office facilitates contacts, co-ordinates activities and promotes information exchange. It establishes and maintains contacts with local authorities, universities, research institutions and NGOs.
