The project will include a series of training courses in Western Azerbaijan from September to November. Course instructors are currently being trained in the city of Ganja.
Up to 140 current and potential business entrepreneurs are expected to be trained in basic entrepreneurship skills and some 70 active micro and small business people will receive additional guidance on their current businesses.
"We believe that these training courses will contribute to the economic development and the well-being of people living in the regions of Azerbaijan," said Torbjorn Bjorvatn, Economic and Environmental Officer at the OSCE Office in Baku.
The project is implemented in co-operation with the Norwegian Humanitarian Enterprises and supported by the micro-finance institution Viator Mikrokredit.
