The OSCE Office in Baku and the Ministries of Education and Internal Affairs will organize awareness-raising activities on road safety and traffic management at secondary schools of Baku.
The Office’s locally hired experts will familiarize school children with basic road safety rules and distribute booklets and other promotional items, including the screening of a road safety cartoon. The experts will also deliver presentations for teachers of primary classes where they will examine the daily safety problems of primary school pupils in traffic, and give practical information on how to make pupils aware of problems.
The experts will share their knowledge on the access and utilisation of relevant internet sites as a resource. Male and female traffic police officers will share their experiences and lessons learned with teachers. The oral and visual parts of the presentations will be followed by a special event in the schoolyard to display a simulator chair and show the fatal results of failing to wear seat belts.
