Bulgaria

Bulgaria is one of the original signatories of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act, and participated in CSCE negotiations from 1973. In addition to being a founding member of the OSCE, Bulgaria chaired the Organization in 2004. Bulgaria is represented by a Permanent Mission to the OSCE in Vienna.

Bulgaria as OSCE Chair 2004

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
