North Macedonia

North Macedonia joined the OSCE in October 1995, having formerly been part of Yugoslavia, an original signatory state of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act. In 2023, the country assumed the Chairpersonship of the OSCE. It is represented by a Permanent Delegation to the OSCE in Vienna and to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen. The country has hosted an OSCE field operation since 1992.

North Macedonia as OSCE Chair 2023

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
