The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe in co-operation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, concluded a four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) course on “Preventing Violent Extremism and Terrorism” in Varzob district, on the outskirts of Dushanbe, on 28 October 2025.

A five-day national simulation-based training on combating trafficking in persons kicked off on 27 October 2025 in Safed-Dara, Tajikistan. The event is co-organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) under its EU funded PROTECT initiative within the framework of GLO.ACT programme, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Tajikistan under the project “Improved Prosecution of Trafficking in Persons and Victim Support Phase II.”

From 20–24 October 2025, a study visit to Türkiye, organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, marked a significant step in enhancing cross-border co-operation between Tajikistan and Türkiye. A delegation of five border security officials from Tajikistan visited Istanbul and Ankara to observe best practices and innovative approaches employed by Turkish border agencies.

On 17 October 2025, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in co-operation with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and the Agency for Land Reclamation and Irrigation, organized introductory sessions on the recently established Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan Border Agreement. The event, attended by 30 regional officials (one woman) from both institutions in the Sughd Region, highlighted the agreement’s importance as a key milestone in bilateral co-operation.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supported the Third International Youth Forum of the Syrdarya River Basin on 11 October 2025, which brought together over 248 young participants (143 women and 105 men) from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

A two-day high-level forum opened today in Dushanbe to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child. The event brought together young leaders, government officials, representatives of the United Nations, development partners, and civil society organisations from across Tajikistan to advance a shared vision for girls’ empowerment and leadership.

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe successfully conducted a five-day cybersecurity training for fifteen mid-ranking officers from the Analytical Department of Tajikistan’s Border Troops from 6 to 10 October 2025.
