The third in the OSCE Talks series, which brings together students and leading researchers to discuss current events related to the OSCE, will focus on the challenges and opportunities of communications and media as well as social and new media in conflict situations. 

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Tánaiste & Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Eamon Gilmore, will give the keynote address.

Speakers include:

  • Ambassador Erwan Fouéré, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process
  • Denis Murray OBE, veteran BBC Northern Ireland political correspondent
  • Alexandra Stiglmayer, Senior Analyst, European Stability Initiative
  • John Kelly, Founder and Chief Scientist, Morningside Analytics
  • Anand Varghese, Program Specialist, Center of Innovation for Science, Technology, and Peacebuilding, United States Institute of Peace
  • Onnik Krikorian, journalist and former Global Voices Caucasus Regional Editor

The seminar is organized by the OSCE with the Philosophical Society of Trinity College Dublin, in co-operation with the 2012 Irish Chairmanship of the OSCE and the support of the United States Mission to the OSCE and the Permanent Mission of Lithuania to the OSCE.
