Suggested topics at this conference include the review of various pipelines and trade routes: South Corridor, South Stream, SEE interconnectors, Trans-Afghanistan pipeline, Chinese pipelines, Qatari gas, Suez canal; general discussion of energy markets and trends, discussion on the geopolitical situation in the Middle East and North Africa, and expected/potential effect on energy markets; the nfluence of liquefied natural gas/compressed natural gas on the Caspian region, the latest trends in unconventional oil/gas technology; discussion on the issues regarding gas decoupling from oil; and on Turkmenistan’s role as a source of gas-market stability

Sessions will also focus on energy security, energy diplomacy and legal frameworks, and the impact of energy efficiency and carbon markets on the global energy market.
