The OSCE Office in Baku and the Azerbaijani Press Council will organize a conference on the decriminalization of defamation through legislative reform. The event will discuss the importance of decriminalization of defamation in safeguarding freedom of expression and freedom of the media. Speakers will include the representatives of the media community, the Presidential Administration, the Parliament and international legal experts. Dunja Mijatovic, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, will speak at the opening.
