Children Affected by War to Receive Support in Three New Spaces to Open in Zakarpattia Region with OSCE Support

On 24–25 September 2026, three “Tvii” spaces will open in Zakarpattia region — specially equipped spaces where children affected by the war and their families can receive psychosocial support.

The spaces are designed to provide a supportive environment for children of different ages, from preschoolers to adolescents, through individual and group activities. Children are supported by psychologists and social workers who have undergone specialized training. Their work is tailored to each child’s age, emotional state and family needs. Parents and guardians can also access individual consultations, legal assistance and information support.

The initiative is implemented by the National Social Service of Ukraine with the support of the OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine, in co-operation with regional military administrations and local self-government bodies. The OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine provides the spaces with the necessary equipment, methodological support, and training for specialists at the initial stage of their work. Subsequently, they will operate as part of the local system of social services in the communities.

The first “Tvii” spaces opened in April 2025. Today, 18 such spaces are already operating across 5 regions of Ukraine. In September, Zakarpattia region will also be added to the initiative’s geographical coverage.
