PRISTINA, 16 July 2026 – OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu visited Pristina on 15 July to lead the OSCE Regional Heads of Field Operations Meeting.
The meeting brought together Heads of OSCE Missions from South-Eastern Europe to discuss the Organization's work across the region in support of comprehensive security.
"Regional security and stability depend on continued co-operation to address shared transnational and transboundary challenges," said Secretary General Sinirlioğlu. "The OSCE's presence in South-Eastern Europe is an important investment in resilience, stability and co-operation. Our field operations are at the heart of this effort, helping to strengthen institutions, build capacities and reinforce the democratic foundations needed to sustain long-term security and stability across the region."
During the visit, the Secretary General met with Acting President Albulena Haxhiu, Caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and the Commander of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR), Major General Özkan Ulutaş. The discussions focused on regional security, the OSCE's engagement in Kosovo, and continued co-operation with international and local partners.
During his visit, the Secretary General also visited the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, where he met with the Mission staff. He commended the Mission, the OSCE's largest field operation, for its long-standing work.
