Mentorship Programme for Dialogue Facilitators and Mediators

The OSCE Support Programme for Ukraine and the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine announce a call for applications - mentees for a mentorship programme for dialogue facilitators and mediators to be implemented from June to December 2026. The program will benefit professionals who seek to enhance their knowledge and skills in dialogue facilitation and/or group mediation during wartime under the guidance of accomplished experts and require mentoring support to design and conduct a dialogue or group mediation process to address social tensions, conflicts, and divides, promote common ground and strengthen social cohesion within a respective community. 

The programme envisages the development of a mentee’s individual professional development plan together with his/her mentor and its implementation. Such plan will include individual consultations, monthly group sessions for case studies, online training sessions, theoretical and practical homework assignments, as well as design and facilitation of at least one dialogue process or group mediation under the mentor's guidance in the mentee's community. The selected mentees are expected to commit to systematically implement their individual professional development plan in June – December 2026.

Eligibility criteria: 

• Up to three years of professional experience in dialogue facilitation and/or group mediation addressing social conflicts and divides within Ukrainian communities during wartime, including a minimum of three dialogue facilitation or group mediation cases;
• Professional connections within the community and a vision for a potential future dialogue process or group mediation in the community;
• Certificates confirming the completion of training in dialogue facilitation and/or basic mediator training in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation”;
• Fluency in the Ukrainian language;
• Experience working with one or more of the following groups will be an advantage: internally displaced persons, war veterans, youth, women, as well as populations in de-occupied and frontline communities.

Mentor-mentee pairs will be formed based on the territorial principle and mentees' expectations regarding their professional development from participation in the program. Upon programme completion, participants will receive a certificate.

To participate in the competitive selection of mentees, please fill out the application form (in Ukrainain) not later than 11:00 (EEST) 29 May 2026. 

Please note that the OSCE will not cover expenditures to organize a dialogue process or a group mediation in a community; the OSCE only provides mentorship support in the process.
