OSCE Mission to Ukraine (closed)

The (then-CSCE) Mission to Ukraine started operations in November 1994 and had its headquarters in the country's capital, Kyiv. The Mission's mandate expired on 30 April 1999.

The Mission's thematic and programmatic activities

The Mission was established with the task, among others, of supporting the work of experts on constitutional and economic matters to Ukraine and reporting on the situation in Crimea. On 1 June 1999, the Mission was closed pursuing adoption of Permanent Council Decision 295, which established on the same day the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, for the purpose of carrying out tasks related to the new form of co-operation between Ukraine and the OSCE.
