Programme and project management

Ensuring that programmes and projects are well planned, results-focused and effectively managed, is essential to the OSCE’s work.

This includes providing clear methods, tools, templates and training events that support staff in designing and delivering impactful activities. It also involves reviewing Unified Budget documents and extrabudgetary project proposals and advising on how they can be developed and managed successfully. Building skills is a key part of this, with training and guidance offered in strategic planning, programme and project management, as well as supporting evaluation and opportunities for peer exchange through the OSCE Network of Project Practitioners. A centralized project database further supports transparency, accountability and informed decision-making across the Organization.
