In accordance with the original mandate, the 2nd Meeting of the Economic Forum, like the 1st, gave political stimulus to the dialogue on economic transition, suggested practical efforts for the development of free market systems and economic co-operation and encouraged activities within relevant international organizations, bearing in mind the ideas and goals formulated in the Helsinki Final Act, in the Document of the Bonn Conference and at other CSCE meetings regarding economic co-operation in Europe as well as the principles approved in these documents.
