The Moldovan officials welcomed CSCECSCE
Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe Mission involvement as mediator in the settlement of the Transdniestrian dispute and related problems.
On day two of his visit, Höynck met with leaders of the Transdniestrian Supreme Soviet. Leaders in both Chisinau and Tiraspol emphasized their commitment to a peaceful political settlement.
