Winter School for Future Social Workers and Psychologists on Assistance to Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings

Within three days the participants of the Winter School will have the opportunity to gain additional knowledge in the area of combatting human trafficking, in particular concerning trends and risks of the problem, the ways of avoiding such situations and the National Referral Mechanism for victims of human trafficking. Participants will also be introduced to the best European practices of social workers and psychologists in providing services and assistance to the victims.

4- and 5-year students in Sociology and Psychology are invited to participate in the Winter School. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis. All applicants must fill out a Google Form by January 27, 2020: https://forms.gle/44bncsHUFQUm7xsJ8 The results of the selection will be announced by February 04, 2020.

The event is organized within the project of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine “Multiplication of Anti-Trafficking National Referral Mechanism (NRM) in Ukraine”, funded by the governments of Canada and the United States of America. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of state authorities in combating trafficking in human beings, as well as to enhance the capacity of state bodies and non-governmental organizations to provide appropriate assistance to victims of trafficking in human beings.

Requirements for participants:

The Winter School is open for 4- and 5-years in Sociology and Psychology. The working language of the school is Ukrainian.

The application must consist of:

• Motivation letter (no more than 500 words) indicating the purpose of the participation in the event and expectations from the event;
• Candidates who provide the Certificate on passing an online course “Countering Human Trafficking in Ukraine” will have an advantage over others (https://courses.ed-era.com/courses/course-v1:EdEra_OSCE+ST101+ST101/about ).

Participant expenses:

Participation in the Winter School is free of charge. Travel expenses, accommodation and meals are provided by the organizers.
