About
This year, Japan will host the 20th OSCE Asian Conference. The event will be held in Tokyo, on 2 and 3 September 2019 and will look into ways on “How to achieve comprehensive security in the digital era: the perspectives of the OSCE and its Asian Partners”. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss global challenges and opportunities offered by the digital era.
The OSCE Asian Conferences constitute an annual forum for the 57 OSCE participating States and the Asian Partners for Co-operation (Afghanistan, Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Thailand) to discuss and deliberate on security issues relevant to the their long-standing partnership. Japan hosted the very first OSCE Asian Conference in 2000. This year’s Asian Conference would be the 5th hosted by Japan.
