The Forum that gathers leading scholars, judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Supreme Court of Ukraine, representatives of the Prosecutor General's office, Ombudsman's office, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine's secretariat, Security Service of Ukraine, attorneys and law enforcers will explore various issues and challenges of ongoing criminal justice reform in Ukraine.

The following clusters of legal reform issues will be in focus of the event:

  • Legal reform in Ukraine: problems of development, implementation and expert support
  • Strategy and tactics of the criminal justice reform
  • Public delicts: grounds and procedure of criminal prosecution
  • Criminal justice safeguards of national security: interdisciplinary dimension
  • Constitutional complaint as a remedy for human rights defence in criminal justice
  • Respecting human rights in legal regulations in the conflict zone of Donbass

The event is organised by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine in partnership with the Security Service of Ukraine in the framework of the project that is to assist Ukrainian law enforcement bodies in meeting human rights commitments.
