Roundtables to discuss proposals on the creation of a National Civil Society Development Fund

Seven one-day regional roundtables will gather representatives of state authorities and civil society organisations (CSOs) to present them with the proposals of the expert working group created within the framework of the project by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine. The roundtable discussions will focus on the creation of a National Civil Society Development Fund based on international practices of the OSCE participating states, as an institutional mechanism in the context of implementation of the National Strategy for Civil Society Development. The recommendations shall be built upon the following areas:
- Concept of the National Civil Society Development Fund;
- Legal framework for the creation and operations of the Fund;
- Fund goals, tasks and expected results;
- Fund management: key managing bodies and structure, personnel, internal management and oversight procedures;
- Criteria and sources of funding;
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the National Fund.
The roundtable will take place on 28 September in Kharkiv, 30 September in Dnipro, 3 October in Lutsk, 5 October in Ternopil, 7 October in Chernivtsi, 10 October in Odesa and 12 October in Mykolayv.
The events are organised by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine in partnership with the Administration of President of Ukraine in the framework of the project that is to assist Ukraine on the basis of international standards and best national practices to enhance cooperation between the civil society and regional authorities in terms of practical implementation of the National Strategy for civil society development for 2016 -2020.
