Why is it important to challenge stereotypes and prejudices? Counter hate speech? Promote critical thinking? The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina works with young people from all over the country, encouraging them to hear the opinions of others and take notice of inequality and discrimination in all contexts.
These high school students participated in a Youth Summit on the role of young people in countering violent extremism. With the support of expert facilitators, they developed new perspectives on the phenomenon of violent radicalization and brainstormed with their peers from all over the country about actions that can be taken to prevent and counter this threat.
The OSCE United in Countering Violent Extremism (#UnitedCVE) campaign highlights the organization’s comprehensive approach to preventing and countering violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism.
