International election observers to present findings at press conference in Bishkek on Monday

BISHKEK, 3 October 2015 - The international observers monitoring the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will present their preliminary post-election statement at a news conference on Monday, 5 October, in Bishkek.
The international observation mission is a common endeavour involving the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the European Parliament (EP).
The statement will be delivered by Ignacio Sanchez Amor, OSCE Special Co-ordinator and Leader of the short-term OSCE observer mission; followed by Ivana Dobesova, Head of the OSCE PA delegation; Meritxell Mateu Pi, Head of the PACE delegation; Ryszard Czarnecki, Head of the EP delegation; and Boris Frlec, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR long-term election observation mission.
The International Election Observation Mission comprises some 320 observers from 41 countries, including 250 long-term and short-term observers deployed by the OSCE/ODIHR, as well as 33 parliamentarians and staff from the OSCE PA, 19 from PACE and 11 from the EP.
