This conference will be focused on the theoretical and practical problems of criminal substantive and procedural law as well as the ways and means to improve the criminal legislation with the view to bring it to conformity with international standards. Attention of participants – both scholars and practitioners – will focus on the newly-adopted Code of Criminal Procedures.

Through revision of experience of the Code’s application the audience will look for means and ways for further improvement of human rights protection mechanisms in Ukraine. The symposium is conducted in co-operation with the Supreme Court of Ukraine and the Lviv State University of the Interior under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine within the OSCE PCU Project "Support to the Criminal Justice Reform in Ukraine".

The registration of the participants starts at 9:00.
