About
The fight against human trafficking in the OSCE area was declared as one of the main Chairmanship priorities, with the aim of addressing all forms of this heinous crime, which violates human dignity and undermines human rights and fundamental freedoms.
The High-Level Conference is convened by the Ukrainian OSCE Chairmanship with a view to enhancing co-operation among participating States and improving the OSCE response to trafficking in human beings. It will aim to strengthen national capacities to successfully prosecute cases of all forms of trafficking in human beings, to provide adequate protection and assistance to trafficked persons and to increase the rate of prevention of this crime.
The Conference will bring together senior government officials, law enforcement experts, prosecutors, judges, representatives from academia, international organizations and non-governmental organizations from the OSCE participating States and Partners for co-cooperation.
