Bulgaria

Bulgaria is one of the original signatories of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act, and participated in CSCE negotiations from 1973. In addition to being a founding member of the OSCE, Bulgaria also assumed the Chairpersonship of the Organization in 2004. The country is represented by a Permanent Delegation to the OSCE and to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen.

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
