Norway

Norway is one of the original signatories of the 1975 Helsinki Final Act, having participated in the CSCE negotiations from 1973. The country held the Chairpersonship of the OSCE in 1999. Norway is represented by a Permanent Delegation to the OSCE and to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Every year, the political leadership of the OSCE rotates among the Organization's participating States. The country taking over the OSCE Chair co-ordinates activities and provides political direction throughout that year.
