Research report on a fact finding survey of the Vorukh-Shurab drinking water supply system conducted within the framework of the OSCE project “Towards sustainable water usage and management in southern Kyrgyzstan” in co-operation with the Central Asia International Consulting Company (CAIConsulting).

This is an analytical review of EU countries’ experience in climate-change adaptation in, as well as analysis of expected climate-change impacts for Ukraine and its vulnerabilities. The publication provides practical guidance and background information for the government of Ukraine on adaptation to climate change. Available in English and Ukrainian.

This publication has been prepared in the framework of the project “Climate Change and Security Scenarios for Eastern Europe” implemented by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in a frame of the Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC).

This research report presents an analysis of international legal instruments defining framework of assistance to victims of human trafficking. It outlines the basic conditions and principles to be considered when providing such assistance; describes national legislation that regulates work of social services providing assistance to victims of trafficking; explains consequences of human trafficking and basic needs of victims with due regard to age and gender aspects. The research highlights problems the victims of trafficking and social service providers face in reality and presents recommendations on how to solve those problems. Monitoring and analysis were based on the standards and criteria of the Kyrgyz journalists’ Code of Ethics, which was adopted at a national congress of Journalists December 8, 2007 and amended at the Republican conference of journalists on April 16, 2009)

The Manual was developed to support the teaching of the specialized course on combating domestic violence at the faculties of public security policing of higher educational institutions of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine (MoI) as well as for re-training of the in-service precinct police officers. The Manual was officially approved by the Ministry. Not available in English.
