The Manual was developed to support the teaching of the specialized course on combating domestic violence at the faculties of public security policing of higher educational institutions of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine (MoI) as well as for re-training of the in-service precinct police officers. The manual covers the organizational and legal principles of implementing the corrective programme for domestic violence perpetrators, it also provides detailed recommendations on the structure and content of such a programme. The approaches and methodologies, presented in the manual, were tested by specialists, engaged in handling cases of domestic violence. The book will be instrumental for practitioners in providing effective psychological assistance to families in overcoming the crisis, as well as in helping domestic violence perpetrators to form non-violent behavior. This guidebook is a useful tool for the identification of human trafficking cases. It helps to better understand the consequences of being a victim of this crime. It also provides guidance on how to determine and consider the special needs of victims taking into account age and gender aspects.
