This report highlights the impact of activities carried out by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) in 2022.

This second revised edition of the procurement guidance is a key document facilitating the implementation of anti-trafficking measures in OSCE’s own procurement across its executive structures and aligning the OSCE’s mandates with its processes. The guidance aims to support procurement and anti-trafficking staff in the OSCE with the background knowledge to implement anti-trafficking measures in procurement activities alongside training workshops, procurement risk analyses, and local action plans. Preventing trafficking and labour exploitation in supply chains is no easy task. By following these steps, the OSCE is developing further expertise and is supporting OSCE participating States and the international community in their ongoing efforts to prevent trafficking for forced labour in their supply chains.

This paper is intended to be used by youth practitioners from international organisations, public institutions and the youth sector within the OSCE region and beyond. It includes an overview of existing practices and good practice examples, based on the experience of youth practitioners who contributed to the roundtable discussions and key informant interviews. The paper also calls for continued peer learning and support among practitioners and youth activists from different sectors. So much is being done in the youth field, but practitioners too often work in isolation. The OSCE roundtable events upon which this paper is framed sought to bring people together and inspire a community of good practice around youth engagement. This tool seeks to extend the lessons from these events to an even broader audience, further growing the community.

This book sets forth the issues to be considered by the OSCE participating States when evaluating what they can do to improve the climate for journalists in their countries. It also provides a practical guide which presents the steps they can take to ensure a media-friendly environment.

Having analysed the media coverage of the floods that affected Serbia in 2014, the booklet sought to shed light on new aspects of media reporting and to draw attention to the topics that should be the focus of media attention. At the same time, through examples seen in other countries that have been dealing with the issue of gender-sensitive reporting for several years, the publication offers recommendations and advice that could be useful in the reporting of future natural disasters and emergency situations. To that end, problems faced by journalists and the media when reporting of an emergency situation, is highlighted. Through concrete examples of good practice, this booklet offers suggestions for the improvement of communication between relevant authorities and the media, which may result in a higher quality of information disseminated to citizens.

MANUAL FOR MEASURING PROGRESS IN CONTRIBUTING TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF GENDER EQUALITY THROUGH THE WORK OF THE AGENCY FOR PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION

The goal of the survey is to reveal the role of the Facebook in the life of Armenian society as a free expression platform and how it is used by different society groups. The study was prepared by Region Research Centre within the framework of the project on strengthening electoral processes in Armenia in line with international standards, implemented by the OSCE Office in Yerevan and financed by the European Union. This publication is not available in Armenian.
