The fifth edition of the OSCE Local Dialogue Academy for Young Women (LDA) will be organized from 19 to 23 June 2023 in Istog/Istok. The Academy provides a platform for young women to overcome barriers in communication, deconstruct stereotypes and establish a basis for dialogue through peer-to-peer learning, coaching and mentoring activities. It aims at enhancing communication among youth from different communities, focusing on common issues of concern related to gender equality and women’s empowerment in particular. A guidebook intended for journalists on how and where they can receive information during the elections. The book prepared by the Freedom of Information Centre is re-printed by the OSCE Office in Yerevan in view of the upcoming Presidential elections in 2013. This guidebook is not available in English.

Social cohesion is a societal challenge that requires a strategic approach and the engagement of numerous stakeholders. Improved community cohesion achieved via the sustained engagement of civil society actors and public authorities in the implementation of locally-designed Community Cohesion Action Plans (CCAPs), is a central element of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s engagement in this field.

The guidebook aims at bridging the gap between journalists and the authorities. It includes recommendations for increasing the safety of journalists and provides best practices on the protection role of the institutions, as well as recommendations for police, public prosecutors, and journalists covering critical events. Not available in English.

In response to the lack of survivor inclusion to date, and in line with its objectives, ODIHR, in consultation with ISTAC and other relevant anti-trafficking stakeholders, developed this policy guidance. It reflects participating States’ obligations as well as international good practices to protect victims and survivors of human trafficking under international, regional and national laws as well as with National Referral Mechanisms (NRMs) or equivalent mechanisms. It aligns with OSCE commitments and draws on ODIHR’s NRM Handbook, which also recognizes the importance of the contributions of survivor leaders to all aspects of effective anti-trafficking work.

According to the 2013 census, women represent around 51 per cent of the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, they are under-represented across society, including in politics. Increasing women’s participation in politics would be beneficial for society as a whole, not only for women. Women’s participation in politics and elections, be it as candidates, voters, or party supporters, is a democratic principle that ensures that their needs are well addressed.

The Mission works to strengthen human rights-based practices and to combat discrimination by collaborating with legislative and governmental institutions at all levels, the judiciary, the BiH Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman, civil society organizations, and human rights defenders.

The purpose of this Guide is to describe and analyze hate incidents and hate crimes faced by Roma and Sinti, as well as the corresponding security challenges.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Mission in Kosovo (OSCE) hereby invites representatives of small and medium size Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to participate in a capacity building training programme, with the aim (i) to increase knowledge and compliance with applicable legislative and administrative framework, (ii) to increase skills in drafting key quality internal documents, (iii) to enhance financial management and reporting skills, (iv) to strengthen advocacy skills and cross-sectorial partnerships, and (v) to enhance communication with media.
