The purpose of this policy brief is to present the current status of humanitarian bus transportation (HBT) in order to inform decision-makers and support the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Mission in Kosovo’s (OSCE) advocacy for a sustainable policy on free or subsidized transportation for communities.

The report prepared by the Unison NGO with the support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan explores the main obstacles encountered by people with special needs in accessing Armenia’s higher education system and suggests recommendations. It is based on opinions of students with and without disabilities, administrative and academic staff of higher education institutions and young persons with disabilities, as well as the general public. Twenty-nine universities in Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor were included in the survey which was conducted during September-November 2014. Available in Armenian.

This report presents the response of the prosecution and courts to cases of illegal re-occupation of properties under the adminstration of the Kosovo Property Agency and assesses how these cases are more broadly addressed by the system.

The Manual represents an important step in supporting the functioning of local gender equality commissions as well as designated focal points for gender equality in the administration. The Manual includes various ways to implement the Law on Gender Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnia and Herzegovina Gender Action Plan adopted for the period from 2013 to 2017.

This manual for student is prepared by the Armenian National Students' Association with support from the OSCE Office in Yerevan and aims to build and expand capacities of students' governing bodies and encourage students' engagement in discussions on quality education at the local level. This reports has been published following the seminar “Changing Migration Patterns and Migration Governance in the Mediterranean Region” was convened at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome on 18 December 2014, with the aims of discussing first drafts of selected papers for the New-Med series on migration with the local civil society and policy community and of brainstorming ideas for further activities. As an OSCE-related network, New-Med stands ready to offer its expertise to OSCE initiatives in the field of migration in 2015.

Comparative study was done by Institute Alternative (IA), with the support of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro. The study provides a detailed overview of control mechanisms (modus operandi) and instruments for efficient identification and prevention of abuse, as well as the analysis of challenges and possibilities for enhancing the modus operandi of the internal control of the police. On that basis and on the basis of the analysis of comparative cases (models from three EU member states), IA formulated its concrete recommendations for the reform of the Montenegrin model.

The publication is integral part of project activities in the frames of cooperation between the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) and the OSCE Mission to Skopje in 2013 and 2014. It contains a total of five qualitative analysis conducted on the basis of National Integrity System (NIS) methodology of Transparency International, as well as three public opinion polls conducted by the Rating Agency to screen the citizens perception about the existence of corruption in selected sectors of the State Programme for Prevention and Repression of Corruption and Conflict of Interest 2011-2015.
