The OSCE Mission reviews draft legislation and policies, providing support to the sponsors of relevant legislation, including through the provision of workshops and expertise.

The Mission’s efforts in this area focus on encouraging inclusive public consultations processes, which are essential for developing legislative and policy solutions that are responsive to the needs of Kosovo residents. In this regard, the Mission strives to boost the involvement of civil society, communities, persons with disabilities, women and youth. This includes tailored activities, such as the expansion of the Online Platform for Public Consultations to ensure that it is accessible to all residents, including vulnerable/marginalized groups.

Recognizing the importance of properly drafted legislation and policy documents in both Albanian and Serbian for equal enjoyment of rights, the Mission has provided continuous support to improve language compliance in these areas.
